LinkLaunch
brings these benefits to your network:
- Bypasses
the limit on drive letters. Saves money on Netware licenses.
- Use server
licenses only when your applications need them.
- Minimizes
use of SPP connections on Banyan Vines systems.
- Minimizes
network traffic.
- Ends drive
mapping clutter and simplifies login scripts.
- Streamlines
access to shared CD-ROM volumes.
- Dynamically
maps to data directories as well as application directories.
- Includes
an Icon Manager to collect icons from applications on dynamically
attached servers.
- Supports
NDS features - volume objects, directory map objects, and background
authentication.
LinkLaunch
will select an unused drive letter or allow you to assign the
drive letter. It can even be configured to reuse existing drive
mappings, allowing you to gain the maximum benefit.
LinkLaunch
is better than a batch program, because it is multi-instance aware.
It will not unmap a drive letter being used by another application.
Since it is
a command line utility, LinkLaunch works with any Windows shell
or menuing system.
