What Is LinkLaunch?

LinkLaunch is a dynamic drive mapping tool for Windows and Windows 95. When an application is launched using LinkLaunch, drive mappings and network connections are created on the fly. When the application is closed, the mappings and connections are deleted. LinkLaunch can create multiple drive mappings with the click of a single icon, permitting dynamic mapping to data directories as well as to applications.

Although it is primarily an application launcher, LinkLaunch can also be used to manage static drive mappings. Rather than using the network dialog boxes, users can map or unmap drives by clicking on LinkLaunch icons.

Because LinkLaunch is a Windows command line utility, it is compatible with any Windows shell including Program Manager, Windows 95 Explorer, Norton Desktop, and Saber Menu System.
